If you need more than one day of leave
Contact a GP or another appropriate provider and explain the period you need assessed. Check that the provider’s service covers your circumstances before booking. The practitioner decides whether a certificate is appropriate and which period any document can support.
Be clear about the actual dates. Do not choose today on an application if you need evidence for another period, and do not assume that receiving a certificate today means it covers the following days.
Our current service limits
MyMedicalCert’s online pharmacist assessment costs $12.99 AUD and covers today’s absence only. If approved, a one-day certificate is emailed to you. Payment does not guarantee approval.
The service does not currently provide backdated, future-dated or multi-day certificates. You must also wait 14 days after your last submission before applying again. Separate applications cannot be used to extend a certificate across consecutive days.

2–4 day certificates are coming soon
We are planning a service for certificates covering 2–4 days, subject to assessment. It is not available yet. You can register for early access to receive an update if that service becomes available. Joining is an expression of interest, not an application for a certificate or a promise of approval. There is no launch date listed here.

If today-only cover is appropriate, review the sick leave or carer’s leave service and pricing. The application is for eligible adults who live and work in Australia, with every request subject to pharmacist assessment.
