Pharmacy Medical Certificates in Australia
Find pharmacy medical certificate options in Australia. Check availability, assessment fees and employer requirements, or explore an online pharmacist assessment.
Need a medical certificate from a chemist or pharmacy? A pharmacist may be able to assess your request for an absence-from-work certificate. Call ahead to confirm the service, fee and pharmacist availability at your chosen location.
Prefer to apply from home? MyMedicalCert's online pharmacist assessment costs $12.99 AUD and covers today's absence only, with a one-day certificate emailed if approved.
What to check before visiting
- Does this pharmacy offer absence-from-work certificates?
- Is a pharmacist available today, and is an appointment needed?
- What is the assessment fee, including if a certificate is not issued?
- Does your workplace accept pharmacist-issued evidence, or require a doctor-issued certificate?
- Can the provider assess your circumstances and the period of leave you need?
Find a pharmacy near you
Use the Pharmacy Guild's Find a Pharmacy service or pharmacy directory, then contact the location directly. These are external directories; MyMedicalCert does not operate the listed pharmacies.

Online or in person?
An in-person visit may suit you if you want to speak with a pharmacist at a local pharmacy. An online request may suit you if you prefer to apply from home and meet the service's eligibility criteria. Both require assessment; a certificate is not guaranteed.
MyMedicalCert currently offers sick leave certificates and carer's leave certificates for adults who live and work in Australia. Our service covers today only. It does not provide doctor-issued, backdated, future-dated or multi-day certificates. See pricing and current service details before applying.
Evidence and verification
Check your workplace's requirements and read Fair Work's guidance. If your employer needs confirmation of a MyMedicalCert certificate, it can request verification.
